Special Siblings: You Are Special Too

Having a sibling with special needs can bring deep love and connection—but it can also come with complicated emotions that many preteens don’t know how to talk about. From feeling overlooked to navigating responsibility, frustration, guilt, or confusion, siblings often carry experiences that go unseen.

This summer group provides a safe and supportive space for adolescents to connect with peers who understand their unique family dynamics while learning healthy ways to process emotions and build confidence in their own identity.

This group may be a great fit for preteens who sometimes feel overlooked, carry extra responsibility at home, struggle to express difficult emotions, or simply want to connect with peers who understand their experience. Through guided conversations and age-appropriate activities, participants will build emotional awareness, healthy coping skills, and a stronger sense of confidence in their role within their family.

Are you a college girl in Houston for the summer?

College is a season of growth—but growth can feel messy. Whether you're navigating friendship shifts, academic stress, social media pressure, or questions about your identity, this group offers a space to slow down and process it all. Together, we’ll focus on building self-worth, reducing comparison, and helping you feel more grounded in who you are.

What participants will gain
Through guided conversations, practical tools, and connection with peers experiencing similar challenges, participants will learn how to build healthier self-talk, identify personal values, navigate comparison, and create habits that support long-term confidence and emotional wellness.

Who this group is a good fit for
This group may be a great fit if you’re struggling with comparison, confidence, friendships, people-pleasing, perfectionism, or feeling unsure of who you are in this season of life.
