About Hall Counseling

About Us

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Texas. I earned my bachelors degree in Psychology from the University of St. Thomas and my masters in Marriage & Family Counseling from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. I minored in Spiritual Formation and have a formal discipleship training approach. I am working towards specializing in Theraplay with children and adults.

I counsel from a biblical perspective which combines spiritual formation and a variety of therapeutic approaches such as attachment theory, family systems, and cognitive- behavioral therapy. I believe that God is the ultimate healer and that He uses each one of us in unique ways to demonstrate his love and compassion. Change is a process and it takes time. It is my desire to be an empathic support and guide in that process. I have a holistic perspective and recognize that the mind, body and spirit are connected. Therefore, I like to discuss nutrition, exercise, stress-management and faith. I work collaboratively with my clients to create realistic goals to help them achieve a sense of accomplishment.

I am also very passionate about formal discipleship with young women. I have been on staff at churches for the last 10 years and guiding young women towards a closeness with God and an awareness of themselves has been a joy. I love working with parents and helping them have a healthy attachment with their children. I work with people of all ages from newborns to adults.

I am a native Houstonian but recently lived in Southeast Asia for the last two years. I have an amazing Godly husband and three beautiful children that I adore. Despite my busy schedule, I love traveling, cooking, reading, running, and I cherish spending time with family/friends.

My passion as a therapist is to create a safe space where individuals, couples, and teens can process, heal, and find lasting change. I earned my B.S. in Psychology from Texas A&M University and later completed my Master’s in Counseling Ministries at Dallas Theological Seminary. My experience serving with ministries like YoungLife and Lifehouse of Houston has shaped my passion for supporting people through any of life's challenges.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor – Associate under the supervision of Jennifer Hall, LPC-S, I integrate research-based counseling approaches with a biblical perspective to help individuals and couples find lasting healing and growth. My deepest joy is seeing clients experience freedom, hope, and transformation through the counseling process.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my husband, Derek, our two energetic boys, and our chocolate lab, Hank. I also enjoy baking, board games with friends, walks, and family time outdoors.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate and provide therapeutic support to people across all stages of life—children, teens, adults, couples, and families. I am passionate about fostering healthy family dynamics and nurturing relationships. My approach to change and healing focuses on identifying truth and understanding the intricacies of the brain. I integrate counseling techniques from Restoration Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and a Family Systems Approach all through a biblical lens. My practice emphasizes creating a trusting space where individuals and families can explore their challenges and strengths to move toward restoration, healing, health, and hope.

I was born and raised in Katy, TX and studied English and Secondary Education at Texas State University. After graduating I worked for Cru for three years with assignments in Athens, Greece then Charleston, South Carolina. Life is a complex array of experiences and each person is wonderfully unique. There is an interconnected web of moments and connections that contribute to every person I encounter. From stressful events to generational trauma to maladaptive thoughts and behaviors... It can all be overwhelming. I view my role as a guide, partnering with others in their journeys and consider it a privilege to sit with others amidst the complicated reality of living in a very broken world. I seek to facilitate personal growth through an integrated biblical lens with theoretical approaches such as person-centered, existential, family systems, and restoration therapy. Ultimately, I believe that personal enjoyment of God is transformational in all aspects of life – body, mind and spirit – and hope to hold the door open to spark this delight in people.

I am a transported Texan and grew up between the suburbs of Houston and North Dallas. Upon graduation from Texas A&M University, I pursued my passion for championing kids as a fifth-grade teacher. Realizing I spent more time sitting on the floor outside of the classroom processing life with students in crisis – and acknowledging a rising passion for mental health – I left the teaching profession to pursue my Masters in Counseling at Dallas Theological Seminary.

I love being a part of my church family, riding my bike, watching a good movie, and spending time with my people! I look forward to journeying with the clients of Hall Counseling.

My unique approach to working with clients is deeply rooted in my personal wellness journey. Just like many of the individuals I now support, I too once faced the challenges of a demanding job that involved overseas travel, leaving me physically and mentally exhausted. The constant time changes, irregular eating, prolonged periods of sitting, and stressful work interactions took a toll on my well-being, leaving me fatigued and anxious.

Like so many others, I initially sought relief by addressing the surface-level symptoms without delving into the underlying causes. However, as time went on, I grew increasingly dissatisfied with the cycle of temporary fixes. I yearned to understand why my body persisted in experiencing these symptoms, and this curiosity ignited a desire for a more holistic approach.

Embracing a holistic perspective, I recognized that true wellness is not confined to just one aspect of life. It's about optimizing all the elements that contribute to your overall well-being. I believe that wellness encompasses various areas, including how you nourish your body, your daily movement practices, exposure to natural light, and the quality of your community and relationships. By addressing these facets together, we can embark on a journey of complete mental and emotional healing.
