About Hall Counseling
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Texas. I earned my bachelors degree in Psychology from the University of St. Thomas and my masters in Marriage & Family Counseling from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. I minored in Spiritual Formation and have a formal discipleship training approach. I am working towards specializing in Theraplay with children and adults.
I counsel from a biblical perspective which combines spiritual formation and a variety of therapeutic approaches such as attachment theory, family systems, and cognitive- behavioral therapy. I believe that God is the ultimate healer and that He uses each one of us in unique ways to demonstrate his love and compassion. Change is a process and it takes time. It is my desire to be an empathic support and guide in that process. I have a holistic perspective and recognize that the mind, body and spirit are connected. Therefore, I like to discuss nutrition, exercise, stress-management and faith. I work collaboratively with my clients to create realistic goals to help them achieve a sense of accomplishment.
I am also very passionate about formal discipleship with young women. I have been on staff at churches for the last 10 years and guiding young women towards a closeness with God and an awareness of themselves has been a joy. I love working with parents and helping them have a healthy attachment with their children. I work with people of all ages from newborns to adults.
I am a native Houstonian but recently lived in Southeast Asia for the last two years. I have an amazing Godly husband and three beautiful children that I adore. Despite my busy schedule, I love traveling, cooking, reading, running, and I cherish spending time with family/friends.

I am a proud Houstonian, born and raised. I received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Texas A&M University in College Station. While in College Station, I was a YoungLife leader and still love any chance I get to work with high school students. Soon after graduating, I moved back to Houston to start graduate school and have been here ever since. I had the great privilege of completing my Masters in Counseling Ministries at Dallas Theological Seminary among some incredible professors and classmates. During my time at DTS, I was a House Parent at Lifehouse of Houston where we got to navigate the sometimes complicated transition into motherhood with a handful of single women while we lived alongside them and helped support them. I am now a Licensed Professional Counselor - Associate under the supervision of Jennifer Hall, LPC-S. My time with past ministries along with my education has given me experience in working with a wide array of challenges and I would be honored to come alongside you in whatever season you're navigating.
I am passionate about individuals and couples having the opportunity to find healing and growth in any season they are in. In my sessions, I integrate research based counseling methods with a Biblical perspective to strive for holistic healing. My hope is to be a trustworthy support to my clients enabling them to find healing and lasting change. I take great joy in getting to share the life-changing love and grace of God, and believe that ultimately, that is the relationship that true healing comes from. It is a great honor to get to walk alongside clients as they find new freedom, power, and truth through the counseling process.
I am married to my best friend, Derek. We have two lovely boys that keep us very busy, and a wonderful fur baby chocolate lab named Hank. In my free time, I enjoy a good movie, board games with friends, long walks, baking, and quality family time outdoors.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in the state of Texas. I completed my master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University and earned my bachelor’s of science in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University. I’m experienced in helping clients work through anxiety and depression, life transitions, loss and grief, interpersonal conflict, emotional abuse, and identity work. I have a particular passion for missions, having worked closely with overseas missionaries, and am familiar with the blessing and challenges present in missionary life. I also have experience with faith development and cross-cultural concerns.
I believe Scripture is how God has primarily chosen to speak with us, and therefore, I place His word at the center of my counseling. Building on that foundation, I practice person-centered and cognitive-behavioral therapy techniques in my counseling. I tailor my approach to each counselee based on their unique personality and circumstances.
I’m a native Houstonian, and a wannabe dog owner married to a wannabe cat owner, perpetually locked in a stalemate since my recent marriage. I have been attending Grace Bible Church in the Heights for over two years now and have served as a small group facilitator and in the children’s ministry. I love traveling internationally, trying new foods, and spending time with the people I love.

Life is a complex array of experiences and each person is wonderfully unique. There is an interconnected web of moments and connections that contribute to every person I encounter. From stressful events to generational trauma to maladaptive thoughts and behaviors... It can all be overwhelming. I view my role as a guide, partnering with others in their journeys and consider it a privilege to sit with others amidst the complicated reality of living in a very broken world. I seek to facilitate personal growth through an integrated biblical lens with theoretical approaches such as person-centered, existential, family systems, and restoration therapy. Ultimately, I believe that personal enjoyment of God is transformational in all aspects of life – body, mind and spirit – and hope to hold the door open to spark this delight in people.
I am a transported Texan and grew up between the suburbs of Houston and North Dallas. Upon graduation from Texas A&M University, I pursued my passion for championing kids as a fifth-grade teacher. Realizing I spent more time sitting on the floor outside of the classroom processing life with students in crisis – and acknowledging a rising passion for mental health – I left the teaching profession to pursue my Masters in Counseling at Dallas Theological Seminary.
I love being a part of my church family, riding my bike, watching a good movie, and spending time with my people! I look forward to journeying with the clients of Hall Counseling.
